  3. Symantec has posted an important patch on-line for SAM Intercept that addresses an 
  4. incompatibility with Microsoft Office 98. Earlier versions of SAM Intercept, including 
  5. versions 4.5.0, 4.5.1 and 4.5.2, will not function with Microsoft Office 98. The on-line 
  6. patch will update any installed 4.5.x version of SAM Intercept to version 4.5.3. This 
  7. version is completely compatible with the new version of Microsoft Office.

  9. We recommend that every SAM 4.5.x user download this patch. The patch also includes 
  10. an installer for the latest virus definitions.
